Christmas with the Laws in Guildford

Father Christmas came down the chimney, somehow managed to move the TV out the way and left some "snowy" footprints on the carpet. Christmas is so much more fun when there are kids to entertain...!

Geoff and Emily playing with Em's new train set. Christmas morning. In PJs the whole day!

Me and my Mom outside Buckingham Palace after a nice lunch... at least that is the excuse I am giving for my rather portly looking tummy!

Granny & Em at Kew.

Orchids at Kew. 26th Dec, a good day of walking to get rid of all the Christmas food.

Ponds in the tropical house, Kew.

Very interesting birds, Kew. No idea what they were, but they were all intent on chasing one lonely little female up the tree!

Me & Em messing around while we wait for Murray (Golden Retriever) to have his pitstop on the way to Seven Sisters. 1st Jan.

Eish but the wind was cold. The frozen chosen.

View of pebble beach at Seven Sisters. A really lovely place.

Sitting underneath massive chalky cliffs having lunch. It was not very warm. And we did not feel like this was a beach that should be returned to until it was summer. Murray had great fun in the sea.

Chalky cliffs. Rather impressive.

Walking on top of the cliffs we had just had lunch under. It was quite a hike. Just as well Granny didnt join us that day. A bit strenuous. And very very windy. And no, Gill and I did not get our jackets in a two-for-one sale (although it does look like it).

Another view. Geoff obliged by running a little way further than we were all willing to get this one.

Our not-so-new home

Above is the new staff accomodation at Broomfield Hospital. We live behind the camera lens.

Our kitchen. A step up from Gloucester... we even have a dishwasher!

Geoff relaxing after a hard day at work. No, the orange couch and orange curtains DO NOT belong to us!!!

Constable country.

Very pretty farmland in the afternoon sun, Constable country.

Constable's "The Hay Wain" as it stands today, minus the oxcart etc.

Going up the staircase at Colchester castle.

Geoff testing out the Roman toilet at Colchester castle. How could you resist a photo opp like that?

The woods nearby our house.

Out for a Sunday afternoon stroll...

Walking on the farms nearby our house.

One of the many windmills in our area. This one is in a village called Thaxted.
